1. What system do I need to run the games?
The only thing you need is a relatively modern web browser. We suggest you to use Firefox, at least in version 3.5 but other browsers may work fine as well. Depending on your hardware there might be some games which does not run completly fluently on your system but actually most systems are more than adequate. The last point which is interesting is your internet connection. There is no minimum bandwidth needed but the higher the speed of your connection the faster the games are loaded.
2. I get a JavaScript is disabled error. What does this mean?
JavaScript is a feature of all modern browsers. It offers the ability to dynamically change the content and style of websites and is therefore needed for this site. Your browser does not handle the JavaScript parts of this site correctly which could mean that you have disabled JavaScript in your browser or that your browser does not support JavaScript at all. Browsers that do not support JavaScript are very rare and so it's more likely that it is disabled. To use this page you need to enable it which should be possible by activate it in you browser settings. As this is browser specific we can not offer you a detailed explanation. If in doubt have a look in the documentation of your browser.
3. I have problems controlling the games. What can I do?
If you should encounter problems controlling a game via keyboard try the following steps. Make sure your browser window is focused by clicking in it. Click on the game area to be absolutely sure the keyboard input gets directed to the game. Also you might want to deactivate the search when typing function. This makes it possible to just start typing a word and the browser will search immediately for it. However, this might cause problems and if you encounter them you should deactivate this in your browser settings.
4. Where do I find information on how to play and control a game?
There is a help text for each game available which explains your task and the game controls. Just click on the "Show/Hide help" link on the right of the game site to show this text.
5. The game xy does not run in Internet Explorer! Can you fix this?
Well, unfortunately no. The problem is that many games on this site use relatively modern techniques which are not yet implemented in Internet Explorer. All you can do is to switch to another browser or try the latest beta of IE.
